- ➤ Dozens of volunteers cleaned up Bloomfield on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Village Green Park and the Rocky Creek Foods parking lot to make the area safe for children and families. Local leaders, including Commissioner Donice Bryant, praised the work and called for continued community care. WGXA
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Three people were displaced after a two-story triplex caught fire on Old Holton Road on Saturday afternoon and firefighters quickly suppressed the blaze while assisting the displaced via the American Red Cross. WGXA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Macon Water Authority Executive Director Ron Shipman died Friday in Thomson after suffering a heart attack at his second home. He had served since February 2023 following a long career with Georgia Power and was the first African American in the role. 13WMAZ
