- ➤ Helms College will host an open house on Wednesday, Mar. 18 from 4-7 p.m. at its Macon campus at 5171 Eisenhower Parkway, where visitors may tour the campus and meet admissions staff to learn about admissions and financial aid. Middle Georgia Times
- ➤ Farah and Farah Personal Injury Law Firm announced its Empowering Greatness technology scholarship program on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Five students will be selected to win a laptop valued at over $1,000 as applicants must attend a Title-1 school, excel academically, and be active in their community by submitting an essay. WGXA
- ➤ Beauty From Ashes Youth Leadership Academy will host its inaugural gala this Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Main Street in Warner Robins. The event features testimonies and special guest BJ Arnett plus funds raised will support scholarships and programs. WGXA

- ➤ The Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission approved converting two vacant elementary schools into 105 affordable housing units on Monday. - ➤ Piedmont Macon now offers a free oncology nurse navigator program that guides patients from diagnosis through survivorship. Manager Kimberly Lewis said the service helps patients and families connect with hospital and community resources. 41 WMGT
- ➤ Food service inspection scores from Feb. 16 to Feb. 20 were released by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Middle Georgia restaurants. Scores vary from unsatisfactory to perfect, with Macon locations (such as Zaxby’s and Wendy’s) among those reported. 41 WMGT
