- ➤ Four generations of the Clark family will drive five old tractors and play jazz in the Cherry Blossom Parade, keeping a tradition that began in 1999—revived after a family break. - ➤ A 31-year-old man was shot and killed outside a home near Houston Avenue in south Macon Thursday night — the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said the incident took place in a residential area. 13WMAZ
- ➤ William Charles Franklin, a Tennille man aged 36, was convicted on Wednesday for ramming his tractor into a letter carrier's vehicle after hurling racist slurs — his sentencing remains pending and he faces up to 60.5 years in prison. 13WMAZ

- ➤ The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight, a band of classical musicians from the UK, will perform rock and metal songs in a symphonic style enhanced by candlelight at the Macon City Auditorium. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Macon Volunteer Clinic opened its new downtown facility — a state-of-the-art 11,000 square-foot building on Walnut Street — yesterday to offer free primary, dental, eye and mental health care along with community classes.
