CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Fort Valley State University Choir will perform at Bethel CME Church on April 11 at 6 p.m. in Macon with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and tickets costing $20. All proceeds will support a new youth bus for church transportation and benefit the choir. 41 WMGT
- ➤ This week, Jim Webb has compiled live music events scheduled from April 6 to April 12 in Middle Georgia featuring Music Therapy, Open Jam, and the Bragg Jam Concert Crawl reveal party in Macon — shows also take place in Warner Robins, Perry and other local towns. Middle Georgia Times

- ➤ Buc-ee’s and Monroe County leaders broke ground on the 74,000 sqft travel center at 1080 Rumble Road in Forsyth on Tuesday morning. The center will open in March and is expected to add over 250 high-paying jobs to boost local spending along I-75. WGXA
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Georgia Department of Public Health released a Restaurant Report Card detailing food service inspection scores from March 30 to April 3 in Middle Georgia, including several local eateries in Macon. The report uses a color-coded system (red for unsatisfactory, green for perfect) to indicate performance. 41 WMGT
- ➤ Piedmont Macon is sharing care and support ahead of Black Maternal Health Week with free community classes and a home visiting program from the Department of Public Health.
