- ➤ A new Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location broke ground on Riverside Drive near the Shoppes at River Crossing and is expected to open in October. The fast food restaurant will offer drive thru & dine in parking and popular chicken tenders with Cane's Sauce in Central Georgia. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Hyatt Studios submitted plans to build a 7-story, 128-room hotel at 1512 Bass Road that covers 72,000 sqft (including a 121-space parking lot) to boost local lodging options and support job growth. The project received P&Z approval on Monday and is set to help local businesses. 41 WMGT

- ➤ Jim Webb has released a weeklong schedule of live music events across Middle Georgia from Monday, Apr. 13 through Sunday, Apr. 19 — it highlights album release shows by Ashes and Rachel Forehand at Grant's Lounge in Macon and a Roofdog performance at Capricorn Sound Studios on Thursday. - ➤ Macon is inviting local residents to be extras in Judd Apatow’s country comedy The Comeback King, filming Monday, May 4 in town. No acting experience is needed — applicants must register online to join the free promo event with added activities. WGXA
- ➤ Universal Pictures will film scenes for The Comeback King in Macon from May 3-15, and DC Studios will return to Terminal Station in July for Superman scenes. Hundreds of crew members are arriving in late April to prepare for the productions and support local businesses. 13WMAZ
