- ➤ The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce arrested 20-year-old Davian Nayshuan Forney—accused of murdering 23-year-old Dontavious Ryshaun Holsey on September 30—in Milledgeville on April 22 and he is now held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. 41 WMGT

- ➤ Major Redmond inspires his students in the science lab and on the baseball field—his teaching blends science with sports to engage learners. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Thousands of FFA members gathered in Macon for the 97th State Convention, which began on Wednesday at the Macon Coliseum & will continue until Saturday, April 26. The event offers state competitions, trade shows & volunteer opportunities as students engage in award ceremonies and the election of new officers. WGXA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At the annual State of the Community event on Tuesday at the Macon Auditorium, Mayor Lester Miller praised finished projects like the amphitheater and Rhythm and Rally pickleball center and said a $25 million SPLOST bond will fund road improvements and new plans for an arena, convention center, and temporary housing—he added he hopes for another term to complete his work.
