  • Firefighters in and around Central Georgia took part in a Combat Challenge to raise funds for first responders—supporting local emergency teams.  13WMAZ

  • Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Macon hosted a spring fling pop-up that gave Central Georgians an early taste of authentic Greek fest flavors.  13WMAZ
  • The Tubman Museum hosted the 29th Pan African Festival of Georgia in Macon—featuring Uganda, food, crafts and entertainment for community members.  13WMAZ
  • Historian Jim Barfield led his final Rose Hill Ramble on Sunday & Mayor Lester Miller honored him by declaring Jim Barfield Day for his decades of service.  13WMAZ
  • Just Tap’d hosted its annual beer festival downtown and drew crowds to enjoy brews, games — and music from nationwide breweries.  13WMAZ
  • Macon historian Jim Barfield led his final ramble at Rose Hill Cemetery last Sunday—having offered tours since 1990—and Mayor Lester Miller declared April 27 as Jim Barfield Day to honor his decades of service.  13WMAZ

  • On Saturday, Wesleyan College in Macon launched its largest fundraising effort, the SHE WILL Campaign, to raise $61 million for more scholarships, better dorms and improved community spaces—alumni Ruth Knox and Alexis Bighley led the initiative that already raised $29 million.  13WMAZ
  • Today, Wesleayn College launched the SHE WILL Campaign — a fundraising drive led by two alumni that seeks to raise $61 million to boost student scholarships and campus life.  13WMAZ
