CULTURE NEWS

  • Macon rings in May with a varied lineup of concerts scheduled throughout the month at local spots (Atrium Health Amphitheater, City Auditorium, and more). Performers like Alabama w/ Jamey Johnson on May 7 and Babyface on May 16 will entertain fans with country, rock, and R&B sounds.  13WMAZ
  • Tap Out Productions will film 'Comeback King' from May 4 to 15, affecting roads on Cherry, Second Streets, College Street, Coleman Ave, and Ash Street near Tattnall Square Park. HEALTH NEWS

  • The Georgia Department of Public Health released food service inspection scores for Middle Georgia restaurants inspected from April 27 to May 1. Many locations in Macon, Warner Robins, and other areas earned high ratings, with perfect scores noted and lower ones marked (scores 69 and below in red).  41 WMGT
  • Officials have issued multiple recalls on items ranging from frozen pizzas and meat products to beverage mixes and children’s toys amid salmonella and choking hazard concerns.
