- ➤ Lovejoy Capital, an Atlanta investment firm, proposed luxury outdoor improvements at Lake Tobesofkee on Thursday night with plans for glamping—EV chargers, fishing docks and rental units while around 50 community members raised concerns about park fees and job security. - ➤ The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal shooting on Monday night at Freedom Park — deputies responded after reports near the lake and found a 39-year-old man on the 3300 block of Roff Avenue with a fatal gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 41 WMGT

- ➤ Macon-Bibb County will invest $50 million to repave roads after voters approved a penny‑on‑the‑dollar sales tax set to raise $450 million for infrastructure improvements—Mayor Lester Miller said the work will cover 25 years of road pavement in just four years. Some projects, such as repaving Goodall Mill Road, have already started while new software in June will help prioritize repairs for more than 1,100 miles of county roads. The Macon Melody
