  • Bibb County Sheriff and Coroner expressed condolences after a West Macon mass shooting—three people died, including a pair of brothers, and six others were injured.  13WMAZ

  • Macon native Christopher Hughes started Hughes Imperial Productionz in 2019. His company has finished three films that feature Central Georgia talent—another film is in progress.  13WMAZ
  • Christopher Hughes, a Macon native, founded Hughes Imperial Productionz in 2019 and made three films that are available on streaming platforms. His team uses local talent and is working on a new film called Trials of Matrimony with its premiere set for Aug. 2 at the Douglass Theatre — a step to change the city's image.  13WMAZ

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 2 risk for severe storms that may bring damaging winds and clusters of thunderstorms across Middle Georgia later today and tonight. Residents are advised to prepare and stay informed (the risk of tornadoes remains very low).  WGXA
