CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Mykia Tenequia Williams was arrested Tuesday for allegedly hitting a 36-year-old pedestrian at the intersection of Poplar Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard early Sunday and fleeing the scene—witnesses reported the incident just after 1 a.m. and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Two Macon brothers were arrested after they allegedly broke into a Jones County animal shelter to reclaim their pit bull — Monster, which is scheduled for euthanasia today given its history of aggression and biting incidents. WGXA
- ➤ Three men were shot and killed at Midtown Daiquiri Bar and Grill early Sunday morning when its security cameras were not working — Mayor Lester Miller and Sheriff David Davis suspended the bar’s temporary liquor license to start an investigation into a history of negligence and violence. 13WMAZ

- ➤ The Tubman Museum opened the Embracing Possibility exhibit last Sunday to show the art, music and interactive displays of people with disabilities. The two-floor exhibit, featuring quilts by Beth Mount and performances by Gifted Harmony Choir, will be on view until June 16, 2026 — it highlights the lives and contributions of people with disabilities in our community.
