South Macon residents have raised concerns about tires, beds, and TVs being dumped illegally along Buena Vista Ave. They are asking for more cameras to monitor the area, but county officials said that added surveillance may simply shift the problem to another spot & advised using legal dumping centers.

ArcelorMittal, a global manufacturing company, has chosen Macon for its North American headquarters and will bring new jobs and growth to the region.

The Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon brought in $6.9 million for Macon-Bibb, with higher attendance this year + boosting local culture.
