ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fire broke out at an auto shop in East Macon today — firefighters are working to put out the blaze. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Baldwin County Fire Rescue located a 30-year-old drowning victim on Lake Sinclair just after midnight on Sunday—after the victim fell from a jet ski on Friday and a two-day search using boat-mounted and Aqua Eye handheld sonar devices was conducted. 13WMAZ
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Investigators say former employee John Jackson spread diesel on cars at the Gray body shop—starting a fire before he took his own life. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Bibb County deputies said a 43-year-old man was shot late Saturday night on Mercer Street—paramedics took him to a hospital and he remains in critical condition. 41 WMGT
- ➤ On Sunday morning, Jones County deputies and fire crews responded at 8:30 a.m. to a fire at Stan’s Body Shop on Gray Highway and found that 58-year-old John Jackson, a former employee with a history of mental health struggles, had poured diesel fuel on vehicles and then taken his own life by a self-inflicted gunshot — investigators continue to probe the incident.
