  • Fort Valley Fire Chief Antonio Woodard—who led his team for over 20 years—died Monday at his home in Fort Valley. Funeral details will be announced soon.  41 WMGT
  • Downtown Macon restaurants are preparing for the Fourth Annual French Fry Fight, which will run from July 9 through July 11 to honor National Fry Day. The event, hosted by NewTown Macon’s Main Street program, will feature 23 local restaurants serving creative fries—diners can vote online to crown the winner with the Super Spud award.  41 WMGT

  • The VECTR Center is running a six-month program that trains military spouses in IT and cybersecurity to prepare them for in-demand jobs on bases—roles they will use in the civilian workforce.
