The county planning board approved rezoning for Riverside Centre on 48 acres, paving the way for 440,000 sqft of new retail space across from a soon-to-break-ground Costco along New Forsyth Road.

Perry's school-zone cameras will resume operation Tuesday, Aug.
4 under HB 651, which limits citations to school days during instructional hours and one hour before and after classes for drivers exceeding the speed limit by more than 10 mph. Perry Police say enforcement has led to a 95% drop in violations.

Piedmont Heart at Lakeside Commons now offers a vein clinic to help patients with leg pain and swelling.
