- ➤ A Macon man pleaded guilty Tuesday to multiple felony charges for a nine‐month theft spree from September 2022 to June 2023 that saw burglaries, vehicle theft, and break-ins at construction sites, and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison—followed by 30 years and an order to pay $11,310.12 in restitution. - ➤ On Wednesday, officials announced that 36 miles of Macon-Bibb roads will be paved as part of the 'Paving the Way' initiative that aims to grow yearly paving from 6-8 miles to about 100 miles—funded by $11 million from SPLOST and local grants and based on a two-month robotic scan of over 1,100 miles of road. The project will lead to traffic delays and temporary lane closures as work progresses. WGXA
