Local volunteers with the Macon chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace are building and delivering beds for children who lack a safe place to sleep and have built 326 beds—1,200 more are on the waitlist.

Bibb County teachers will join on Saturday, August 23 to help deliver beds while the group plans to build 500 additional beds by year end.
