- ➤ A Macon man pleaded guilty to trafficking meth and was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 20 years to serve without parole on August 25 in Houston County Superior Court—he must also pay a $200000 fine and is banned from returning to Houston County. 41 WMGT

- ➤ A jury convicted 33-year-old Deon Banks of murdering Milton Jolly and George Brooks and of sexually assaulting a woman during a 2022 home invasion at a Macon home—he will serve three consecutive life sentences plus five years. WGXA
