- ➤ The Georgia National Fair has announced its 2025 Fair Food Fight contest with sweet treats and savory dishes from vendors across the region — including items like cheesy Dorito Mexi Fries and pork belly in a cone. - ➤ Skyview Elementary in Bibb County hosts weekly book tasting parties in its library café where students preview new stories by reading covers and first few pages—helping them learn how to pick books and build a daily habit of reading. - ➤ At a special meeting with the Macon-Bibb County Commission, Mayor Lester Miller said he will hold more meetings to speed up the Paving the Way program so selected companies can begin resurfacing almost 130 miles of roads before cold weather arrives. - ➤ Macon-Bibb County has asked engineering firms to submit qualifications to design a new 200,000 square foot Macon Coliseum with modern amenities to boost local events.
