A Central Georgia community raised nearly $18K in 24 hours after a fire destroyed the home of a Dairy Queen worker known as —Cake Lady— as neighbors united to help her recover.

The Georgia National Fairgrounds collected donations during its annual Fair Food Drive to support local food banks.
