- ➤ The Macon-Bibb Law Enforcement Foundation held its annual ceremony to honor 9/11 victims and first responders by lowering the flag, offering prayers, and laying flowers — Sheriff David Davis said the event helps families grieve and shows local support. 41 WMGT
- ➤ Dickey Farms in Macon will host its annual Fall Festival on September 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—the event will offer hayrides, pig and duck races, pumpkin picking, food trucks, live music and a kid zone for family fun. 41 WMGT

- ➤ Today through Sept. 14, the Macon Mural Festival brings four artists to downtown Macon to paint murals at locations such as 240 2nd St., Hotel 45 and Petals, Flowers and Market—visitors can use maps from the Macon Arts Alliance to find each work. - ➤ Georgians will vote on Nov. 4 in a Public Service Commission special election that will fill two of five seats and set discussions on utility bills. All registered voters can cast ballots at-large for District 2—covering eastern areas—and District 3—covering metro Atlanta, with early voting from Oct. 14—31 and deadlines on Oct. 6 and Oct. 24 for registration and absentee ballots. 13WMAZ

- ➤ Investment Group Development announced a new affordable housing project for Macon-Bibb residents—planned to offer more budget-friendly homes and support local growth. The project is expected to start soon and help ease the housing shortage in our community. WPGA News
