- ➤ City officials announced that Tindall Fields will expand affordable housing by renovating one home and constructing 10 new modern, energy-efficient homes. The project will create a walkable neighborhood — linking families to schools, transit, jobs and healthcare while supporting long-term homeownership with a $500,000 renewable credit. WGXA
- ➤ On Thursday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m., Sip Sip Hooray! 2025 will be held at Historic Terminal Station in Macon where guests will enjoy wine & small plates, live music, a five-course tasting menu, and a guided winetasting to support Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia. - ➤ On Monday, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office launched its annual Night to Unite as a kickoff for a full community event happening today that will bring together neighbors + law enforcement and local leaders to boost crime prevention and youth engagement. - ➤ Theatre Macon is set to launch a pilot production of How to Train Your Dragon Jr.—using youth actors and large dragon puppets. The show will run for two weekends from Sept. 19 to Sept. 28. The Macon Melody
- ➤ Georgia now has an official state stew as a new law names Brunswick stew the state dish, while also designating cornbread as the state bread and the fourth Friday in November as National Sugarcane Syrup Day. Macon restaurant Satterfield's Barbecue owner Ben Hampton said his Brunswick stew is thick and full of whole meat pieces—despite debates over its origin with Brunswick County Virginia—showing the state's unique take on barbecue. 13WMAZ
