- ➤ Local experts said beef prices are rising sharply due to drought — import limits and higher costs have reduced supply, and they warned that herd recovery and price relief will take years. This ongoing issue may affect consumers for an extended period. 13WMAZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ GDOT said Macon drivers on Vineville Avenue will see delays as workers repair broken signal-boxes—repairs will take six to eight weeks from today. A gecko chewing wires had already caused traffic problems and hurt local businesses. WGXA
- ➤ Macon’s District Attorney Office spent $48,250 from forfeiture funds to create a 26‐page magazine named The Justice Journal—an educational tool that shows its work and aids victims. - ➤ Emails revealed that a data center company sought private access to Twiggs County commissioners for a 291-acre project, and residents have questioned transparency—officials will announce the final decision on Thursday. 13WMAZ
HEALTH NEWS
