  • Dragon boat racers competed on Lake Tobosofkee on Saturday in the 13th Annual Heart of the Dragon Boat Races to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Central Georgia. Mekong Boat Club traveled from Stone Mountain—winning the club division championship and the team spirit award—while over 150 children are on the mentor program wait list.  13WMAZ
  • Local families attended Dickey Farms' fall festival on Saturday and enjoyed a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and other seasonal activities—making warm memories at a cherished local event.  13WMAZ
  • Dozens of bright yellow rubber ducks raced in the Great Ocmulgee River on Saturday in Macon — sponsors donated $10 per duck to support a program for kids’ health, education, and wellness. The fastest duck will win $2,500 while proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs that serve nearly 1,000 children daily.  13WMAZ

SPORTS NEWS

  • FPD Vikings traveled to Perry to take on the Westfield Hornets at Marvin Arrington Stadium, coming off a 21-10 win over Pinewood Christian last week. The Hornets, who lost 20-19 to Tiftarea and were defeated by the Vikings last season, looked to turn their form around + compete strongly in the matchup.  41 WMGT
