- ➤ On Sunday afternoon, Arise Nation Church in Macon launched its new church with a Family Celebration event—offering rides, food, and a service to build unity and faith. Founding pastors Shamaiah and Jarvis Adside said the event marks the start of more community outreach efforts. WGXA

- ➤ Spirits in October will take place from October 9th through October 19th from 6 to 9 p.m. at historic Riverside Cemetery where actors tell real stories of over 18,000 people, and Riverside Cemetery & Conservancy is seeking volunteers to lead tours. Middle Georgia Times

- ➤ Shane Stewart has been trapping feral hogs in his Macon neighborhood for nearly two years. He will work with Georgia DNR to expand his invasive species control efforts—he says hog hunting gives him a strong adrenaline rush. 13WMAZ
