- ➤ Historic Macon Foundation’s fall flea market held downtown from Oct. 3-5 raised a record $75,000—funds that will support preservation work in the Beall’s Hill area and free education programs. - ➤ Macon Periods Easier donated boxes with menstrual products to public schools, food pantries and libraries last week as it fights period poverty. The volunteer-led nonprofit, which gave out 35,000 pads, 18,000 tampons and 45,000 liners this year since its founding in 2019, will host a fall homecoming dance at The Overlook to raise more funds—easing basic hygiene costs for Macon residents. - ➤ The R.I.C.H. Women's Conference began today at 6:00 p.m. at the Macon Marriott City Center and will run through Saturday offering workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities for women — hosted by Willing Women Empowerment. WGXA
- ➤ Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia will host its 20th annual Sporting Clays fundraiser today and tomorrow at 1064 Rumble Road in Forsyth to support families of hospitalized children in the Macon area—proceeds fund lodging, meals and support services. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.—participants will compete in skeet shooting rounds beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day with a 1 p.m. round on Friday and awards at 4 p.m. 41 WMGT

- ➤ The GHSA voted at a meeting in Thomaston to adopt a new power ranking system for playoff seeding starting next season—only region champions will receive automatic bids while all other teams will be seeded by their PSR scores.
