- ➤ Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful organized volunteer cleanups on Oct. 18 at local schools and community centers as groups cleared litter ahead of Halloween. The organization will host a Treat the Streets event on Oct. 25 at Fort Hill from 9 a.m. until lunch, plant trees with funds from an anonymous donor, and extend its Christmas tree drop-off from Dec. 26 until near the end of January so trees can be chipped into mulch. - ➤ The Georgia Department of Public Health released a Restaurant Report Card that showed food service inspection scores for Middle Georgia restaurants from October 13 to October 17 (scores ranged from unsatisfactory to perfect).
