- ➤ Pulled from the Wreckage Ranch & Rescue will host Thanksgiving Storytime on Monday, November 25th at 10 a.m., with children's book author Gillian Neimar reading her barnyard picture book 'I Want Your Moo' at the small farm sanctuary run by Charlotte McGee. Families can join in read-aloud sessions, sing-a-longs, a turkey feather treasure hunt, and time with rescued animals as tickets cost $10 per child. Middle Georgia Times

- ➤ Piedmont Grand Opera House was built in 1884 as the Academy of Music and became the Grand Opera House in 1905—its near-closure in the 1960s was averted with local funding, and Mercer University has since updated the historic building to host live shows. - ➤ On Nov 12, the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority reported over $1 billion in investments this fiscal year — including $4.6 billion in potential deals from new business partnerships and tax incentives. The report said $18 million was reinvested in county government and schools — and the authority received an award from the Ocmulgee National Preserve and Park Initiative while noting layoffs after a plant closed at the airport industrial park. - ➤ GDOT has nearly completed work along Gray Highway from North Avenue onward by installing larger pedestrian median islands and push-button crossing signals to help pedestrians cross safely—though a signal pole at Nottingham Drive was knocked over in an apparent hit-and-run early Nov. 1. The project also removed a left-turn lane to reduce traffic conflicts and will add rapid-flashing beacons at new mid-block crosswalks south of Shurling Drive. The Macon Newsroom
- ➤ At Tuesday night’s meeting, Mayor Lester Miller sponsored an ordinance to honor Josh Rogers by renaming the block of Third Street between Poplar and Cherry as Josh Rogers Way—an approval that recognizes his lasting impact on downtown Macon.
