- ➤ The Golden Corral on Presidential Parkway closed temporarily after an electrical fire broke out in its dining room ceiling on Wednesday night (firefighters noted that quick evacuation kept everyone safe) and officials are assessing the damage. 41 WMGT

- ➤ Macon unveiled its long-awaited Marché de Noel promenade at Cherry Street plaza on Thursday night (a nod to European Christmas markets) with the free event opening to the public tomorrow night and running through Sunday, Dec. 14. WGXA
