- ➤ A local reporter showed how a $30 gift plan brightened Christmas for seniors Em Baldwin and Linda Haywood at River Place at Forsyth. Local nursing homes including Magnolia Manor and Summer’s Landing are asking for donations through gifts or visits to spread holiday cheer. WGXA
- ➤ The Merrie Christmas Project will distribute toys, clothes and essentials at Walmart on Zebulon Road starting Friday, Dec. 12 until Dec. 22 to support families in need. - ➤ Community groups host the Clothing the G.A.P. Holiday Drive at the Rosa Jackson Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can drop off clothing on Dec. 6 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Dec. 8 through Dec. 12 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.). 41 WMGT
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A mobile home fire displaced four residents on Tuesday morning along the 100 block of Shamrock Circle in Byron — crews extinguished the flames after the blaze began at a backyard burn barrel, and the Red Cross is assisting those affected. WGXA

- ➤ The Boys and Girls Club at the Carl D Thomas location in Macon was vandalized again — costing thousands — and its President and CEO asked for help to improve security. 13WMAZ

- ➤ Next year, Macon will host concerts including Bob Dylan on Apr. 22 at the Macon City Auditorium, Babyface with 112 on May 16 at Atrium Health Amphitheater, and the Goo Goo Dolls with Neon Trees on Aug. 27 at Macon Mall amphitheater; tickets go on sale Dec. 12. 13WMAZ
