On Thursday, officials with the Macon Arts Alliance and family of the late Steven Fulbright dedicated a memorial pavilion at the Mill Hill Community Arts Center to honor his role in downtown Macon’s development—he worked with groups like the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

On Tuesday, Macon-Bibb County reduced its property tax rate to 9.575—a nearly 53% drop from 2021—following Mayor Lester Miller’s recommendation to help residents keep more money.
